LOVING MYSELF, FORTUNATELY
A PERFECT VALENTINE’S DAY BREAKFAST. Fortune cookies and a big cup of coffee (or two). Never mind that it was afternoon and not quite what most people would call “morning”. It was morning for me, and my fortune was good, by the way. I knew it would be because I slept past noon! ~ Life is moving slow today ~ Just the way I like it. No amount of coffee is waking me up, so I am going to glide through this Saturday, effortlessly and quietly. I even blew off the Richie Havens concert tonight so I could extend my “chill time”. There are times when I have to “JUST SAY NO” to the world turning. You know, “Tune In, Turn On and Drop Out”, in the words of Dr. Tim Leary (I learned a lot from him). In my stillness I am rejuvenated, recharged and inspired. It seems like the further I go in life, the more down time I require. Age is a BEAUTIFUL thing. I’m entering the autumn of my life, which happens to be my favorite season. I am truly fortunate to have coffee and fortune cookies for breakfast in the afternoon, in the autumn of my life.
