I cannot wake up, let alone stay awake when I’m not sleeping. It makes for a very bizarre experience. My “brain thing” has kept me from fully enjoying life these daze. I wonder if I am winding down and then I have a day or two of productivity and I’m back on track again, only to slip back into ethereality. Painting is at a standstill ~ so grab them up if you want one, I don’t know how much longer I will be able to do this!I am in headache hell more often than not lately.

Last week was full of painting and laughter and everything delightful. Today, I am not so sure.

I colored in a few mandalas from the Mandala Coloring Book while waiting for the temperatures to drop. The weather is beginning to cool down below 110 and there is a hint of Autumn in the air. Although, many people would disagree, I think that I tune into the subtle changes because I have been a desert rat most of my life. Soon we will be able to open the windows and have fresh air flowing through the house and studio. I know that I am pushing ahead of the season a little prematurely, but Autumn is my favorite time of year on the planet. I anxiously await the arrival of fall year after year. Thanks to winter for making it easier to say goodbye to Autumn! Then spring comes and is beautiful, but carries the threat of hot, hot days to come. I celebrate the end of summer!

Today I also began a new painting. Tomorrow the details will be ready to paint in. I’m liking what I’m seeing and loving what I’m feeling.

Awesomely, delicious food with friendly servers and a great atmosphere. I usually run into one or two amazing characters or magical connections when I go here. It seems to be a gathering place for uniquely interesting and creative people of all kinds. Love it.

These three paintings all found a home this month while hanging out at “Green”. The rest of them will be moved to “That’s A Wrap” on 7th St. in Phoenix this weekend and will hang there for about a month (I will get all of the info together and will write about that soon). That’s A Wrap is another wonderful eatery owned by the same wonderful guy. I am always grateful to be able to hang my art in such cool places and be surrounded by genuine, beautiful people.
