WINTER SOLSTICE
Ah….. alas, winter has arrived. The shortest day of the year. No wonder I didn’t feel the need to nap today! Maybe I can get myself back on a more realistic schedule. I tend to be awake when the world around me is sleeping and less awake during regular business hours! This is either an artist’s curse or the loner/recluse in my DNA.
Winter in Arizona is beautiful. To get the full effect of winter here we have to drive north a little ways. I am praying for snow at Arcosanti on Christmas Eve, but no matter what the weather brings it is certain to be the perfect place to renew my spirit and prepare to let go of the old and welcome the new. No doubt that I will have tons of photos to sort through upon my return and it always brings me so much pleasure to share them.
“Axial Tilt Is The Reason For The Season”. We have no gift exchanges to participate in or masses to attend this year. It makes for a relaxed, calm season and I have been able to enjoy it so much more just decorating our home a little, making it smell good and playing music.
