A cluster of wasps have gathered on the outside of my studio window today. No doubt that there is a nest nearby. I am thinking that it is so dang hot outside today, that they are clinging onto the air conditioned glass to cool down. Or, they are really attracted to my sweet incense. Whatever the reason, they are fascinating and have brought it to my attention how badly I need to wash my windows! Until then, I will leave them alone and let them do their “wasp thing”. As the day grows longer they cluster closer together.

When I was three years old, I disturbed a wasp nest unknowingly, while I played. I was stung nine times. My mom made a paste of baking soda and water and put it on the places where I was stung. I remember going to sleep and waking up feeling fine. All things considered, I still will not kill one to this day. However, I can knock a wasp nest down with a broom handle like nobody’s business!
